Welcome to Math 2 at Rolesville High School! I am looking forward to helping you achieve excellence as you continue to explore the basic building blocks of algebra and geometry introduced in Math 1.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Math 2B provides learners with an opportunity to review foundational topics and engage NC Math 2 standards at a year-long pace. Topics we will focus on include quadratics, transformations, congruence, similarity, and right triangle trigonometry. Students will solve relevant and authentic problems using manipulatives and appropriate technology.
Materials: Required Recommended
• Pencils with erasers • TI-84 or higher graphing calculator
• Folder • Colored pens or pencils
• Composition notebook / Composition Graph • Markers
• Glue or glue stick • Scissors
CLASS POLICIES:
Major Assessments 75% Third Quarter 40% A: 90% - 100%
(Tests/Quizzes/Performance Tasks) Fourth Quarter 40% B: 80% - 89%
Minor Assessments 25% Final Exam 20% C: 70% - 79%
(Homework/Classwork) D: 60% - 69%
F: Less than 60%
**Students will take an NCFE at the completion of the year-long course (Math 2B).**
